Cologne Summer School: EU@Work2024

Dieses Jahr findet erneut unsere Exkursionen für den MA-Kurse der Türkisch-Deutschen Universität nach Brüssel statt. Dazu werden wir dieses Jahr nicht nur vom DAAD und dem Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung gefördert, sondern auch durch die Cologne Summer Schools! Geplant ist ein Aufenthalt in Berlin ab dem 19. Mai, mit Aktivitäten wie dem Besuch des Auswärtigen Amtes und dem Bundestag. Danach werden sie als Teil des PROTEUS Seminars mit den anderen Studierenden nach Brüssel fahren und weitere spannende Institutionen wie die europäische Kommission kennenlernen. Abschließend werden die Studierenden an einem Simulationsspiel, mit dem diesjährigen Thema "strategic agenda" teilnehmen.

TRACK

Regarding political and academic challenges, TRACK (Teaching and Researching the European Council: Enhancing and disseminating knowledge on a key institution) will respond to an ongoing need to provide regular offers for teaching and research on the European Council (EUCO) as a key institution.
In view of known and unknown challenges in the EU, TRACK focuses on the EUCO’s role in the EU’s policy-making and in shaping the EU’s future. By identifying challenges for Europe, TRACK will analyze and assess the EUCO’s activities along five dimensions for filling gaps in teaching and research.
It will foster the exchange and enhance knowledge on the EUCO by not only organizing several public lectures and panel discussions, but it will additionally provide innovative teaching modules and analytical reports.

The project runs from 1 September 2019 until 31 August 2021.
