The seminar “The Living Practice: EU@Work” within the MA study program “European and International Affairs” at the Turkish-German University (TGU), familiarizes students with current and fundamental issues in European politics, particularly within the Turkey - Germany - European Union (EU) triangle. The seminar offers students an excursion to Berlin and Brussels in which they learn about, visit and engage with high-level key institutions of the German federal government, Türkiye and the EU.
For this year, eight students from the TGU participated in the program. Nazlı Kabacan B.A., research assistant at the Centre for Turkey and European Union Studies (CETEUS), participated to the Berlin excursion as organiser. Darius Ribbe M.A., research fellow at CETEUS, and Anuschka Windisch, student assistant at CETEUS, participated to the Brussels excursion as co-organisers.
The excursion was funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the University of Cologne as part of the Cologne Summer Schools (CSS) program. The excursion was co-organised by CETEUS and FEU (Fördergesellschaft für Forschung und Lehre zur Europäischen Union e.V.), which supported the excursion with funds from the German-Turkish Youth Bridge (DTJB). The final report of our seminar is online available.
