Introduction
The Association
The Coelner Monnet Vereinigung für EU Studien e.V. - an Association for friends of the Jean Monnet Chair of the Research Institute for Political Science at the University of Cologne- wants to support the multifaceted European activities of the chair. Furthermore COMOS creates a stage for the exchange of knowledge and experiences between the members of the University of Cologne and practitioners of the national and European policy.
The activities of the COMOS Association cover:
- Annual COMOS conferences on European topics, which are offered within the framework of the funding initiative “Dialog Wissenschaft und Praxis”of the Hans Schleyer foundation
- Interdisciplinary panel discussions and lectures on current European topics, e.g. "50 Jahre Römische Verträge", "Der Vertrag von Lissabon" and "Die französische Ratspräsidentschaft im zweiten Halbjahr".
- Research funding at the Jean Monnet Chair
- Newsletter, which inform about current events and activities of the Jean Monnet Chair
